Melbourne International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show
It will be a transport hub when Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Sterling and Fuso trucks, along with Alliance Parts, are featured in an extensive display at the International Truck Trailer and Equipment Show inMelbourne next March.
With the full brand ranges from Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific (MBAuP) on display, complemented by the Alliance Parts network, everything for road transport operators will be in the one place for show visitors with all transport applications catered for.
Mercedes-Benz was high profile attraction at the inaugural ITTES event in 2008, its pavilion not only attracting a high amount of interest and visitors, but the eye of show award judges as well. The company scooped the Best Industry Truck Display Award and will defend its crown with what will be an even more intensive display at the event, this time including the highly successful Mercedes-Benz van range.
“The inaugural ITTES was highly successful for us on all counts. We were extremely happy with the number and quality of people who came through our pavilion, and on the strength of that we decided to commit to the 2010 event,” says Carlo Beltrame, Senior Executive of Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
“Headlining our display will be the new generation Actros which is the flagship of our range. Incorporating many new innovations in technology and safety, it stands apart from others in the marketplace. The trucks will be backed by both Axor and Atego models and there will be some all-wheel-drive trucks for specialised applications.
“Also on our extensive display will be the full Freightliner truck range which is extremely successful across Australian trucking backed by Sterling vehicles. Sterling trucks has generated enormous sales interest and the last of the trucks remain big sellers to the many operators of the brand” he says.
The MBAuP brands have developed a strong following and the company intends to boost this further with committed participation in Melbourne displaying the advantages of the truck and van line-up, backed by the
Commercial Vehicles after sales team focusing on service and parts programs and products developed to optimise customer business solutions. A new range of Alliance-branded products and parts along with a full-size cut-away V8 Actros engine will also feature.
Every visitor to the MBAuP stand will be able to discuss their exacting needs with experts and organise test drives of the latest trucks exhibited. With everything under one roof it will be trucking headquarters for those attending, providing solutions for all transport tasks.
Carlo is confident ITTES will be another success in Melbourne and says the location meets the needs of the road transport industry and its clients. “If the second show builds on the success of the inaugural ITTES, and there is no reason to say it will not, it will be regarded as a premier event on the trucking calendar. Most industry participants were quick to book for 2010 after experiencing a pleasing response in 2008.
“Our full range will be on display providing road transport operators with the best products to meet their requirements in a pavilion that will encompass every aspect of the industry,” Carlo says.
